Nominations for the 9th annual National Film Awards are announced
Additionally, the Best Actress in a TV Series category features an intense battle between talented individuals, including Máiréad Tyers for “Extraordinary,” Jennifer Metcalfe for “Hollyoaks,” and India Amarteifio for “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.” Similarly, the Best Actor in a TV Series category presents a thrilling competition, with Richard Blackwood, Penn Badgley, and Nick Pickard contending for the award.
In the Best Supporting Actor category, Asim Chaudhry, Simon Manyonda, and Ricci Harnett have delivered outstanding performances in “What’s Love Got To Do With It?,” “Rye Lane,” and “Love Without Walls,” respectively. Equally impressive are the nominees for Best Supporting Actress, including Emma Thompson, Poppy Allen-Quarmby, and Mara Huf, who have captivated audiences with their roles in “What’s Love Got To Do With It?,” “Rye Lane,” and “Tetris.”
In celebration of the 9th annual National Film Awards. The National Film Academy also announced the launch of it’s first-ever members social network platform. This groundbreaking platform will revolutionize the industry by allowing registered members to vote for the National Film Awards, apply for jobs, post job listings, and network with fellow film producers, directors, actors, and actresses. This platform is a pioneering initiative that aims to unite the entire film industry like never before.
Mark your calendars as the 9th annual National Film Awards is set to take place on July 3, 2023, at the prestigious Porchester Hall. The voting process is already underway and open to the public at www.nationalfilmacademy.org, providing film enthusiasts the opportunity to have their voices heard by casting their votes until June 27, 2023. The awards show will be broadcast live on VooVix TV on the 3rd of July.
